Section of Windy Hill road remains closed; Vehicle drove on wet concrete

Their hopes were dashed; however, as a section of the newly paved road was damaged over the weekend after someone went past the ‘Road Closed’ sign and drove on the wet concrete.
The road had been closed since Friday, March 21, 2025, to facilitate road paving operations. During this period, motorists are urged to adhere to traffic directions and use alternative routes.
Road set to reopen on Wednesday
“There is a further delay in the opening of the road. After the road was paved on Saturday, someone passed the "closed road" sign and the additional barrier and ended up driving on the wet concrete. This must now be repaired, delaying the reopening until Wednesday,” First District Representative Dr the Hon Karl Dawson updated his constituents this morning, March 24, 2025.
The road will now remain closed for two extra days.
The Lower Windy Hill Road leading into Carrot Bay suffered significant damages due to heavy rains on Monday, November 11, 2024. A section of the road had collapsed.

BTW...Did the Premier say yet why he missed $20M for the civil service pay?
No accountability = lawless society!
Come VG see how the mangroves are destroyed next to boatyard no input from community minded people. Yes the drain is an issue but from day one the design plus poor engineers not knowing the history of area and Govt. with their heads up in their *£$. VG will always suffer because we never had proper representation
There were road closure signs posted at the top after Heritage Villas/Bananakeet and there was a hi-mack parked perpendicular to the road blocking it. What I would like an investigator to tell me is was this vehicle coming down the hill or going up the hill. one portion of the road was dry enough to drive on and the other was VERY fresh. You can see the tire marks on the drier side of the road. This a perfect example of how projects get over-run! now this has to be removed and repaved with another 2 plus trucks of 5000 psi fiber concrete
Yall does be doing f****y.
I think the engineer need firing and the minster for roads go to alm the countries with mountain ⛰️ not big hills and see road works it only BVI that thinks concrete is the best thing that for private ppl properties and drive ways not serious road building where heavy 5 and 10 ton vehicles travel they will crack up
