Season’s Best for 3rd placed McMaster @ Paris Diamond League
McMaster, who missed the recent Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru, to allow more time to recover from a slight injury in a Diamond League meet in Switzerland on July 4, 2019 when he pulled up early in the race, ran a Season’s Best 48.33.
The race in Paris was won by Norway’s Karsten Warhom, who clocked a blistering 47.26.
McMaster, running in Lane 8, was pipped to the line for second place by Martinique born Ludvy Vaillant, who competes for France. A fast finishing Vaillant registered a Personal Best 48.30.
Meanwhile, McMaster’s participation saw him move up to 3rd in the qualification table for the Diamond League Finals and is expected to be in Brussels next month for the defence of his title.
McMaster is the defending Diamond League Champion in the 400m Hurdles and also won the title in 2017.
