Come again SI. That is not a local rate. Cut your so-called local rate in half and people will come.

Obviously, they don't really want poor Locals to come, just those making a nice income who can afford it.

Hopefully the bookings from visitors are enough to keep them operating at profit because no locals will pay $499 a night for no room.

Business must be slow to be offering a discount this time of year. That place should be fully booked for Easter and spring break

The Sugar Mill which is higher rated does a $299 rate for locals that includes their three course dinner.
  • HMMM (26/03/2024, 09:05) Like (11) Dislike (0) Reply
The ambience and the food is hardly worth that room rate. Plus, they must be hard up for business if they are seeking out us “locals.”
  • Yes? (26/03/2024, 10:09) Like (8) Dislike (0) Reply

    They are full of $*1t.

  • skuntington (26/03/2024, 18:38) Like (1) Dislike (1) Reply
check the normal rates its actually a significant discount of 40-50%. Open your eyes and realize we're living in paradise that many are willing to pay that plus more to experience. Need more local business ventures that can viewed as as worth the high cost vs being ripped off. "Tourists" would pay $1200 a night to stay at scrub island but think locals are ripping them off for selling $5 bottle of water that cost $3 once imported.

All these people commenting are the ones who go and stay with family or probably still living in a 6x9 room that they call home. Grow up! If you can’t afford it, don’t go and keep your comments to yourself.
