SCB resident De'Shaun Thomas charged for motor scooter theft, burglary

SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- A 19-year-old resident of Sea Cows Bay has been charged with stealing a motorcycle and burglary.

De'Shaun Thomas was arrested and charged on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, by detectives of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).

Thomas was charged with Theft of a motor scooter, which police said occurred on May 19, 2024. The scooter was subsequently recovered by the police.

Thomas was also charged with Burglary committed at a Pockwood Pond residence on June 10, 2024. During the investigation, detectives recovered various items that were stolen during the commission of the crime, and these have since been identified by the victim.

The teenager remains in custody, pending his appearance in court at the next available sitting.

    19 years old is a grown young man who knows better. Imprison him as a grownup. This will give him time to rethink what he is doing to people. Breaking into someone's premises and stealing their items, makes the victim feel vulnerable, paranoid, and frightened. Stop it you lousy THEIF!

    Better they dont put it back but better they dont be a thieth in the first place. Because if they theif, it they are a feef,and they should go to jail. Putting it back!!?? they a fieth, put it back or not. Better not be a teethf. You may go to St lucia and they dont want or need VI teefs.
