Sandals Barbados is planning to reopen its doors on Jan. 28, 2015, the company announced.

The property, which is located at the former Couples Barbados, is currently closed to undergo a “wide-ranging enhancement programme.”

“The plans for Sandals Barbados are thrilling and our guests can’t wait to book these rooms,” said Gordon “Butch” Stewart, Chairman of Sandals Resorts International in a release. “We couldn’t be more excited to ‘Sandalize’ this resort and know that it will complement the stunning beach and provide our guests with all the luxury and amenities they desire.”

The 280-room property will include 11 dining options, including the company’s first-ever Indian restaurant.

It began the $65 million renovation project on April 1.

Sandals completed its purchase of the former Couples Resort in St Lawrence in October 2013.

The company is also planning to open a Beaches-branded property in Barbados at the former Almond Beach Resort.
