S & D Security gets Best Booth award @ Buy BVI Trade Show
As in the words of Chief Executive Officer and founder of the company, Mr St Clair A. Springette, “We did not expect to get that but all in all we are glad to know that we actually got that particular award.”
S&D Security and Alarm Systems copped the Best Booth of the Year award.
Mr Springette said it was at the last minute that the company decided to participate, “We went there about 2:30am and we just tried to do our best to put together much equipment as possible. Our main focus at that particular point was just to give an idea of what we do as a business. The company has been in it (security) for ten years now but we wanted to showcase the quality of the cameras that we have,” he told Virgin Islands News Online.
It has been a matter of less than six (6) months that the company has copped two awards from the BVI Chamber of Commerce & Hotel Association (BVICCHA). In November of 2014 the company was awarded the ‘Excellence in Customer Service Award”. That was at the BVICCHA’s Gala of 2014.
The list of winners for this year’s CCT Buy BVI Trade show was released by the BVICCHA which outlined other winners.
Other winners
Man Jack Creamery’s Hezikiah E. Maddox was named Best Sales Person, Most Creative Booth was won by Greencrete BVI, Most Innovative Booth award went to J Soriah’s Hair Bows Accessories, while Small Business Awards was won by Waffles Therapy and JB Kitchen.
Sharing the joys of his winning accomplishment via facebook Greencrete BVI’s Hurbert A. Lennard said, “What a great experience it was attending the Buy BVI trade show and expo this past weekend......i can say that many persons now see concrete in a different light and also got an award for the creativeness of my products. Felt special knowing that there were over 50 other booths with great products as well.”

According to the BVICCHA, the Trade Expo’s priority this year was to showcase the latest and most advanced products and services available in the Virgin Islands (VI). It was also geared to promote and encourage local entrepreneurship, hence adding greater substance to the local economy through increased local spending.
“We take great pride in making this trade expo, fun and entertaining as well. We do so by highlighting the talents of our territory. In addition, we have always awarded booth owners who have not only contributed their great efforts, but also who demonstrated creative and extraordinary salesmanship. These awards are given out at the end of the trade expo,” said BVICCHA in a release.
