RVIPF seeks overseas investigators for fatal collision probe
According to reports reaching our newsroom, the accident took place just before 7:00am on Pickering Road in front of Nibbs Auto sales.
The scooter rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The RVIPF in a press release on March 21, 2022, said officers, who were at the time responding to a medical emergency, were travelling along Pickering Street and the scooter rider was exiting the Botanic Station Road and onto Pickering Street when the collision occurred.
“RVIPF has elected to remain neutral and impartial in this investigation,” the press release stated.

I thought this should be the minimum requirement of the police force, it should be in their DNA, so it appears they pick and choose. No wonder the DPP is unable to secure a conviction in straight forward cases.
The press officer should have think twice about the last sentence especially knowing the stigma surrounding policing.
