ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– Police yesterday, July 29, 2021, charged suspended Sergeant Troy St Helen of Jennings Hill for possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug.

According to a press release from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) today, July 30, 2021, St Helen was scheduled to appear in the Magistrate’s Court today.

The RVIPF said St Helen, 39, had been interdicted from duty earlier this year following his suspected involvement in the January drug seizure. He will be the third male charged in that operation which resulted in the seizure of over 200 kilos of cocaine.

Shaun Massicott, 28, of East End was also charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply and being concerned with the supply of a controlled drug. Devon Bedford of Harrigan Estate had been previously charged in the matter.

During an operation on January 19 of this year in the Brandywine area, officers of the Force intercepted a rental vehicle. A search of that vehicle uncovered a large quantity of cocaine. A subsequent search of a second vehicle uncovered a smaller quantity of cocaine. A boat was seized as part of that operation.

Weed them out and importing their countrymen as replacements is silly and self destructive.
They were imported to police their countrymen whose behaviour contributed to overwhelming amount of crime. The answer is touchable the demographic makeup of the VI.

Efforts in the direction of changing the demographic makeup of the VI is the solution.
Crime was a rare occurrence prior to importation and status giveaways en masse to immigrants from our neighbouring islands where crime rates highest in the world.
The main reason why the VI attracted investors and flourished.
Building with quality is a no-brainer.

can we see photos: will we ever find out how many years this officer was dope dealing before he was caught; how many within the police force knew about his unlawful conduct and said nothing: can they be a CoI surrounding the police because where does the money from the various drug bust goes: furthermore where does the unlawful substances goes: there is factual proof that there is wrong doing within ranks of the royal virgin islands police force:

so only departments headed by locals are subjected to commission of inquiries

it will be nice simply for clarity and transparency within the royal police force that the people of the territory sees a similar commission of inquiry

the same department run around this place with weapons have dirty hands; the police like the politicians are expected to upstanding: when will the police be questioned

As an expat I am ashamed when I read about issues like this. I must point out though, that the way some people behave is as if Drug Traffic and other crimes were brought here by Island people. I have lived here long enough to know that is not true. It is a trade that have been going on long before the first Island man set foot on these Islands. Do you know the amount of locals who stole from their places of employment banks and Government Departments including and it was swept under the rug because someone wanted to protect the "Family"? I agree that some of these people came here criminally tainted but the Territory creates opportunity to plant and grow crimes. As you are aware Criminals are worship as heroes here....well according to your status.

        you tell me.....
how can you come to the British Virgin Islands: Take an Oath to uphold certain Laws of this territory in a post of a police officer and found dope dealing(as a Sergeant of police)...stop trying to validate your stupidness with sentences

        try simmer down
i born meet folks from all over the world calling british virgin islands home and we talking dam near 70 years(teachers; doctors; lawyers and the beat goes on)

stay focused to the fact of the matter
here is police officer not a plumber or bartender transporting an unlawful substance....how many persons have he arrested for the very same criminal offense

if you have children he might have lockup your child for ai dime bag: the issue have nothing to do with drug trafficking because everyone cant be a Bishop or Hairdresser

A dirty cop can get his fellow police officers killed
if you want to run dope simply resign from the royal virgin islands police force(u run talk that

I am convinced that many Caribbean Islands, their sons and daughters of the soil are cursed and harbors an evil spirit. Here there and everywhere they go they are compelled to serve Satan in some fashion. They arrive and they never ever dissappoint.

a former commissioner got very irate after the barge system was set in place to assist with border security during lockdown. it is remarkable how the former commissioner came into the territory and did nothing for 5 years to strengthen the borders which came under his portfolio: some of us began to question the amount of money associated with barge system: while some of us thinking the border security system is not being addressed because of who rules and monopolize the costal waters of the territory: most of you keep looking at the power boaters as the only transportation for dope BUT forgetting the sail-boaters and divers fully capable of moving dope as well

who to trust, kinda scary when you have problems trusting a police department because police officers were among others that took items from businesses after 2017 hurricane:hurtful part a youngster was given 3 years at HMP for a television however no update on the police officers involved in stealing the people's property: those we voted for says nothing on these matters like them afraid of the united kingdom representatives
but one thing the 13 of them good for is going after one another at house of assembly......RVIP full to flowing over with criminals where is the commissioner
