RTW on VG burglarised
Information is sketchy at this time but Virgin Islands News Online can confirm that the store broken into was Road Town Wholesale (RTW).
More than $1000 was reportedly taken.
It is not clear at this time around what time or how many persons executed the robbery.
Police on Virgin Gorda declined to give any information.
However, Managing Director of Road Town Wholesale Ltd Mr Simon Potter confirmed the incident this morning. He told this news site that the store was broken into on Saturday night.
The perpetrator/s he said made their entrance to the store by breaking in at the back of the establishment while it was closed.
Mr Potter declined to disclose the amount of money taken. "They took a small amount of cash which we don't want to disclose."
It was late Sunday night, September 18, 2016 that BVI Communication, a business at Purcell Estate on Tortola that deals with the repair and sale of electronic devices, was broken into and items stolen.
According to reports, the burglar/s gained entry to the business place by smashing the glass of the front door.
