RT Letterbox holders can resume use of service from Dec 11, 2023
This is according to Acting Post Master General, Mrs. Iris T. Romney who said letterbox holders of numbers 1 to 4347 in the Road Town area can resume the use of their boxes from December 11, 2023.
“Letterbox holders are to return the keys for the old letter boxes and collect the new keys at the General Post Office located in the Maduro Building in Road Town.”
$15 fee for none return of keys
She added that if persons are unable to return the old key, they will be required to pay a deposit of $15.00 for the new key.
BVI Post had previously commenced reinstalling letter boxes around the Territory to allow its customers to resume collecting mail at their own convenience.
The rental of letter boxes are available at various locations throughout the Territory including Cane Garden Bay, Sea Cows Bay, West End, Cappoons Bay, Jost Van Dyke, Anegada; and Valley or North Sound, Virgin Gorda. Interested persons can apply for a letter box at the General Post Office or at any of the postal offices in their area.
