Royden Sebastian remanded to HMP on murder charge
The accused man made his maiden appearance before the court today, October 15, 2020, represented by Attorney at Law David A. Penn.
He was not required to enter a plea, as the matter will be dealt with in the High Court.
Allegations
Director of Public Prosecution, Tiffany R. Scatliffe-Esprit said the accused man was captured on CCTV footage wearing a certain clothing and was identified by someone who lives in the vicinity of Burrows home in Purcell Estate.
She said the individual even provided a photo of the accused as the person they saw entering the home of the now-deceased man and witnessing the crime. This was because the curfew was in effect and the streets were well lit when they heard the gunshots and proceeded to observe what was going on from their vantage point.
Further allegations indicate on the night of September 2, 2020, the accused, wearing a white shirt and dark pants, entered into the home of the deceased through the kitchen door.
Accused allegedly shot @ Burrow's stepson
The court heard that at the time, the stepson of the deceased was eating in the kitchen and after seeing the accused man entering and armed with the firearm, fled from the house with the accused on his heels.
It is further alleged that on his pursuit of the stepson, the accused man fired shots behind the stepson but missed and then fired a shot to the head of Burrows, killing him, where he laid on the floor of his living room watching African Movies.
The accused man further chased the stepson, but his chase was futile.
The accused then returned to the house and attempted to pull the trigger behind the head of one of the wheelchair-bound sons of the now deceased.
The court heard that the deceased lived with two teenage daughters, two disabled sons and his stepson.
The DPP further said, after the shooting, the accused fled on foot towards the Purcell Basketball Court.
Sebastian was arrested and charged for the matter before the court, and when the allegations were put to him, he denied them.
He was not granted bail because the Magistrate’s Court did not have any jurisdiction to give him bail.
The matter was adjourned to February 1, 2021.

Are you $%&^# retarded? What respect for the street. He got paid to do a job and it didn't work out and he didn't clean the property well so he got caught. Not all jobs go as planned. The dead don't talk ever.
Imagine if this happened to anyone reading this article. Couldn’t kill one family member so kill one and try to kill another....that’s murder plus attempted murder on two people.
Are you living right that if life was snatched from you, you are ready for the Judgment Day?
Don't make sense
