Rotary Club of Tortola secures 15th College Classic title
Race Director, Mrs Stephanie Russ Penn said with a field of four teams and thirty-four participants, “The Battle of the Service Clubs” was as excited as anticipated.
The Rotary Club of Tortola was joined by team Rotaract, who placed second, Team Rotary of Road Town who placed third and Rotary Sunrise of Road Town.

In excellent fashion, Mark Stephenson of Rotary of Tortola and Tuneisha Johnson of Rotaract were the first male and female participants respectively, to cross the finish line.
The finale of the Virgin Gorda leg of the series will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at the College’s Virgin Gorda Centre. This finale will be celebrated as the Race Series’ 25th Anniversary race. Registration begins at 6:30 am and the race starts at 7:00 am. All are invited to participate.
The final race at the Paraquita Bay campus is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2020, and will showcase for the first time in the Series history – relay teams. Teams of three (3) persons can register to participate.

The College continues to partner with the law firm Mourant as the main sponsor of the series, which is a green event.

“Morning All. I know Im late on this topic.
I agree on the dangers of dengue etc however covid is a different animal because of the incubation time and the way its changing. Dengue and the other dangerous diseases you mentioned have been dealt with for a long time already.
Covid has potential to completely blindside a population because of its incubation and how it shows. I don't think we saw all all those people die in bigger countries when the virus first hit because it was so so so dangerous but because they got blindsided. It was impossible to treat everyone at the same time.
I think we feel safer here because we never got blindsided. We were able to treat the infected numbers here which were low. If we are more complacent and allow our health system to get overwhelmed we would be in a lot more trouble.
I actually believe that we can open up our borders and conduct business but everyone of us would have to be on the same page and understand the animal we're dealing with.
As long as we all and I mean ALL understand how to move we good.
