Rotary Club of Central Tortola launches 2nd Annual Car Raffle
The launch of the raffle was done outside Flow’s Romasco Store in Road Town on Thursday, July 28, 2022, in the presence of sponsors of the raffle, supporters and members of the Rotary Club of Central Tortola.
The grand draw for the car, which currently retails at $35.995,will be done at Delta Petroleum Service Station in Pasea on December 23, 2022.
Early Bird Drawings
There will be three Early Bird Drawings of $1000 each, which will be done on October 12, November 25 and December 9, 2022, respectively.
Tickets are $10 each and available from today, July 29, 2022, at various establishments, including Mi Amor, House of Luxury, Nagico Insurances, Flow, TAG, Delta Petroleum, The Original New York Pizza and Captain Mulligans. Other ticket outlets will be announced in the coming days.
“We look forward to celebrating with the winner on December 23, 2022, and believe that through their support, by purchasing tickets, that collectively we are making a positive impact in the British Virgin Islands,” President of the Rotary Club of Tortola and Master of Ceremonies Mr Shan Mohamed stated.

According to Mohamed, 100% of the net funds raised from the raffle will be spent in the territory.”
The newly installed president expressed appreciation to the sponsors of the raffle, including platinum sponsors Flow, Delta Petroleum, Tortola Auto Group (TAG), and Nagico Insurances.
“These companies have answered the call to assist with BVI community projects and their partnership allows us to dream big.”
Mr Mohamed said some of the projects the funds raised will be used to support include mangrove planting, the beautification of the Brewer’s Bay Beach, and the purchasing of gifts for children during the festive holidays.
Other projects this year
He also highlighted several other projects the Rotary Club of Central Tortola will be embarking or continuing during this tenure as president.
“This year we will be adding a bus shelter, maybe one or two but definitely one and we also are going to embark on the kitchen gardening and farming initiative where we will provide seedling and other farming supplies to various households and provide and educate on techniques of farming in a sustainable way.”
Mr Mohamed assured that the young club will continue to support organisations like BVI Red Cross, FSN, and Lions Club.
“We are asking residents to kindly support our raffle with the knowledge when they do so we are supporting each other and making the lives better for those who are in need, after all we are our brothers and sisters' keepers.”
Remarks were also delivered by Flow’s Country Manager, Ravindra Maywahlall; Delta’s Business Support Manager, Mrs Susan Rymer and Nagico Insurance’s Insurance Manager, Shaquilla K. Smith.
