ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- St Vincent and the Grenadines national Rohan Williams has been found guilty of the 2019 murder and rape of Lenia Lettsome-Green.

The guilty verdict on both counts was handed down in the High Court on Friday, July 12, 2024, five years after Williams was charged.

Lettsome-Green was shot and left on the road at George’s North Side on Sunday, May 26, 2019. She was transported to Peebles Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Williams, who resided at Great Mountain, Tortola, was charged with the murder of Lettsome-Green at 5:00pm on Monday May 27, 2019.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) in a press release today, July 16, 2024, said Williams' conviction marks the culmination of relentless efforts by the RVIPF and the dedicated team at the Director of Public Prosecutions office.

“This verdict brings a sense of closure and justice to the family of Lenia Green and the community at large, who have been profoundly affected by this tragedy,” the press release stated.

Commissioner of Police Mark Collins extended gratitude and congratulations to the police officers and civilian staff “who worked tirelessly” to ensure that justice was served.

May Lenia rest in eternal peace and her family find closure with this guilty verdict.

It’s only now I’m actually seeing who this monster is. I recognize his face . I hope that he gets the stiffest penalty the law can dish out for what he did to this girl.

It would be nice if he was subjected to the same punishment he inflicted on Mrs. Green. People like him don’t deserve to live a comfy life at HM’s hotel.
