Rikkoi A.R. Brathwaite wins heat to reach semis @ World Indoors in China


Brathwaite registered 1st place in Heat 3 with a time of 6.64s at the Nanjing Sports Training Center.
The semi-finals proved to be a little too much for Brathwaite today, as he was only able to place 4th in his semi-final heat.
Brathwaite, who was also a semi-finalist at the 2024 Indoor World Athletics meet, ran a non-qualifying time of 6.63 seconds.
Defreitas gets into action tomorrow
Meanwhile, Beyonce A. Defreitas will compete on March 22, 2025, in the Women’s 60M Heats.
The Virgin Islands’ lone medal at World Indoors is a bronze won by Tahesia G. Harrigian-Scott in the 60m sprint in Valencia, Spain in 2008.
