Rikkoi A.R. Brathwaite runs record-equalling time in Nashville
Brathwaite 10.11 seconds (a wind-legal 0.5 m/s) in the 100m Finals for fourth place.
The race was won by Brandon Carnes of the USA in 10.02 seconds.
Second was J.T. Smith of the USA in 10.09 seconds while Cejhae Greene of Antigua was third in 10.11 seconds.
Lowering the National Record
In April of this year, Brathwaite clocked 10.11 seconds to lower his own National Record.
It was while competing in the 2022 NACAC Open Championships in The Bahamas on Saturday, August 20, 2022, that Brathwaite first broke the National Record, running 10.20 seconds (wind -0.4mps) in the finals of the 100m to place 5th.
Although missing out on a podium finish, Brathwaite broke Dion Crabbe’s 20-year-old 100m National Record of 10.25 seconds.
