EAST END, Tortola, VI- The rich history and culture of Long Look and East End were put on display at an exhibition at Greenland Playfield today, August 6, 2024.
Donkey cart rides, demonstration of making various types of breads on firesides, crafts, fungi music, and walls telling the stories of the many late great of the East End/Long Look Communities were just a few attributes of the Virgin Islands Communal Association (VICA) Cultural Experience held in collaboration with the East End Festival Committee.
The day also featured youth Calypso singing.
Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) and District Eight Representative Honourable Marlon A. Penn urged those gathered to embrace the rich history of the districts.
The two elected representatives also emphasised the urgent need for unity among residents.
