Revised handbook on international cooperation & information exchange published- FSC

PASEA ESTATE, Tortola, VI- The revised version of the Handbook on International Co-operation and Information Exchange, A Guide for Regulators and Judicial and Law Enforcement Officials was published by the BVI Financial Services Commission (FSC) on Friday, February 21, 2025.

According to a press release from the FSC, the handbook “contains comprehensive measures to ensure the integrity of the Territory’s financial and legal institutions, is also a testament to the Commission's and Government’s recognition of cross-border collaboration as essential to addressing the global challenges of money laundering, terrorism and terrorist financing, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction”.

It added that the Territory has been involved in international cooperation matters for over thirty years through the provision of mutual legal assistance. 

“By continually reviewing and strengthening its regimes, the BVI ensures that its efforts are in line with global developments in combating crime and regulatory breaches,” the FSC added.
