The BVI have thousands of derelicts vehicles all over the island tagging 200 is far from enough. wherever there is a space of land people leave their old vehicle, including the side of the road. several reports are being made without any action The BVI is a tourist destination, please clean up the place. Driving from West to East is so embarrassing with those old vehicles. Much more work need to be done to clean up the place. sometimes i wonder if i am living elsewhere

Why are we in this position in 2024,government afraid to enact laws, simply upgrade the importation of older vehicles by e.g 90% with whaft tax high as well to restrict a huge increase of older vehicles, we just need to improve the legislations and have it enforced.
LASTLY, identify the owners of these abandon vehicles and put legislation in place that they pay for the removal of the vehicles as well. The bvi has become a lawless cowboy place and stiff changes must occur.

wish they would remove them from private properties too. seen some vehicles that's been rotting away for over 15 years and just an eye sore.

I just abandoned one a few weeks ago up East. It's 5'11, 210 lbs, brown skin, low fade with lots of milage. But it gets around so I sure it done gone by now.

What has contributed to this is simply most car dealer only concentrated on selling vehicles, non care to stock parts 5 years after you purchased from them.
Check the caribbean islands, they have more parts than vehicles, so no old vehicles park all over the island.
