Rafael Harrigan now charged with Trumayne J. Daway’s murder
Officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Major Crime Team today, March 14, 2018, charged Rafael Harrigan, 27, with murder in the shooting death of Daway, according to a RVIPF press release.
Harrigan, who faces two charges in relation to the murder, had originally just been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, but had not been charged with murder.
Vernon Bernard aka ‘Bones’, 26, a native of Dominica, was also charged with Daway’s murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. Maybelline Rodriguez, 21, a native of the Dominican Republic, was the first to be charged with Daway’s murder.
All three had appeared in Magistrate’s Court on March 6, 2018 and were placed on remand until May 25, 2018.
Harrigan was represented by Attorney-at-Law Patrick Thompson, while Bernard and Rodriquez were unrepresented.
