CANE GARDEN BAY, Tortola, VI- The majestic Quito’s Luxury Inn and Quito’s Gazebo Restaurant & Bar, now under new ownership, have been renamed.

This was announced today, October 9, 2024, by new owners MHV Resorts & Hotels.

Effective October 1, 2024, the group headed by Virgin Islands businessman and former legislator Mark H. Vanterpool assumed control of the hotel and restaurant located in Cane Garden Bay, Tortola, a press release from MHV Resorts & Hotels stated.

It said the new luxury hotel will be called The Cane Garden Bay Beach Hotel and Quito’s Gazebo Restaurant & Bar will now be known as Rhythm & Sands.

The MHV group said it has a long business trajectory in the Virgin Islands, spanning almost 40 years. The group’s offerings include supermarkets, food service, restaurants, and now hotels, poised to serve the VI community and increase high-quality hospitality service options for guests.

Mr Vanterpool stated: “MHV Resorts and Hotels is excited to join the vibrant Cane Garden Bay community that has long been an iconic hub for tourism and culture in the BVI.”

Restaurant to reopen first

The MHV group said it is eager to create more employment opportunities in the village and partner with neighbours and adjacent businesses to develop Cane Garden Bay in sustainable ways that preserve the authenticity of the bay’s natural magic.

It said “eager visitors and residents” can expect the renovated restaurant to reopen first over the coming month, with the hotel opening to follow shortly after.

It added that Quito’s Gazebo has long been a mecca for great music and good times in the VI and that the new Rhythm & Sands will continue building on this legacy, pairing exquisite cuisine with melodies made to melt away all worries.

Any uncertainty around the future of the former Quito’s Hotel and Gazebo can now gently be put to rest as the new Cane Garden Bay Beach Hotel, where luxury seamlessly blends with the soothing rhythms of the sea, is poised to open and welcome guests for the 2024-2025 tourist season, the press release stated.

Mark. Great move. Congrats. I have 3 suggestions for you..1/ keep your children and family from any part of running or managing this Beaugy Queen Royslty resort. They are failures. The almost made you lose ONE MART...2/..Your key to success is a 0rofessional markering proven connected person. The 2 that comes to mins are 1 / Lynette Harrigan..2 / Cindy Rosan, pls consider anyone of those 2 as your marketing consultant...it will work. I wish you success..I am sure you already have a Hotel manager, your success will depend on good "SMS" (Sales, Marketing, Service

To late now, but I wonder if the ambience of Cane Garden Bay was taken into account when the planning authority gave approval the building.

It's a pretty building that marries modern hints into traditional. It exudes island luxury. Fits perfectly into the ambience.

Please train and equip all staff, have enough staffing and pay them properly .....it's the only way to go. Hospitality is a demanding job;but, demands without pay will definitely have disgruntled employees. I congratulate your efforts . Thank you Mark and continue to grow our communities.
