Quito’s Inn officially opens for business
The new inn has some 21 rooms, all named for Quito Rymer's songs, and includes a swimming pool with pool side bar, conference room, spa and exercise room, gift shop and car rental.
The opening was originally scheduled for December 2017 but construction was delayed due to the passage of hurricanes Irma and Maria in September 2017.
The inn is owned by local businessman and musician Quito Rymer and wife Kim.
A must see hotel!
Present at the official opening of Quito's Inn were Premier and Minister of Finance Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1), Minister for Natural Resources, Labour and Immigration Hon Vincent O. Wheatley (R9), Junior Minister for Trade and Economic Development Hon Sharie B. deCastro and Director of the BVI Tourist Board, Mrs Sharon P. Flax-Brutus.
Hon Fahie commented on his Facebook page that Quito’s Inn adds more value to the VI's tourism product. “Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Quito Rymer. This hotel is a must see!!!” Hon Fahie stated.
Flax-Brutus noted it was a pleasure to be present and to give congratulatory remarks on the historic grand opening of Quito's Inn in Cane Garden Bay. “The BVI's tourism product is moving in the right direction,” Flax-Brutus said on her Facebook page.
Also at the opening were Deputy Speaker and At Large Representative Neville A. Smith, Second District Representative Hon Melvin M. Turnbull (R2) and Deputy Governor Mr David D. Archer.
Room prices at Quito’s Inn range from $275 per night to $750 and there will be a $50 charge for each additional person over 12 years of age. A 50% deposit is required to confirm booking. The deposit is refundable if cancellation is received more than 30 days in advance of booking, minus a 5% processing fee.
According to the Quito’s Limited website, no smoking and no are allowed at the inn.
Quito's Inn was reportedly constructed to the tune of over $7M.
