Public alerted about spike in burglaries on Tortola
During these burglaries, according to the RVIPF, the perpetrators often steal cash, electronics, gaming devices, power tools, weed whackers, and any other item from which they can derive a commercial gain.
The public is also being asked to be on the lookout for persons offering such items for sale, particularly if the prices are below market value.
The RVIPF, in a press release late June 9, 2024, encouraged persons to report such occurrences to the police if there is suspicion that the items were stolen or otherwise unlawfully obtained.
Patrols yield arrests- RVIPF
In addition to investigative efforts, the RVIPF said it has undertaken targeted patrols in the areas where the burglaries are seemingly concentrated, and this tactic has already begun to yield some results.
Several arrests have been made, and some defendants have been charged and placed before the courts.

oh well
We must, if we are honest, realized the hardship that has been brought to bears on many that are without work, others being underpaid and rising food prices of basic needs.
I do not approved of robbery of any kind against our neighbors. I believe in the biblical principles of the Ten Commandments written in the Holy Scriptures as the true pathway, God by the power of His Spirit being our strength.
Mankind that is now living was born with a selfish nature. Even though we try to hide this fact by lying and acting, we are by nature more selfish than we are selfless towards our neighborhood best interest.
Unfortunately this behavior will continue, as per the Topic Issue will to spike as greedy practices continue against especially underpaid and overcharge people continue.
I can assure you that when rich people and greedy politicians, and others too, curb their greedy and selfish mindset against the have-not and have-little their will be a lowering of this problem. The truth is, though, as the people of this world general behave same will we here in the BVI do, but we are not compelled to follow the the pattern of this world, but rather God our Father and Creator's pattern.
LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE EVERY WHERE AND BVI, TOO.
Until then expect the spiking of burglarizing to continue in the BVI as it is in the other countries of this world.
That would be important to be aware of, for those living in them.
If I pick up a stick and knock a burglar down I will be charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
God forbid it’s a heavy rock or machete close by rather than a stick.
