Prime waterfront areas reduced to parking lots– Skelton-Cline
“In all of my travels… never in any of my travels have I ever seen such an underutilisation of the primmest of real estate in any country, which is your waterfront,” Skelton-Cline stated on his show Honestly Speaking on ZBVI 780 AM on February 15, 2022.
He said in addition to derelict cars, boats and even containers are also parked on VI’s waterfront.
“We allow some of everything to happen on our waterfront, prime real-estate, and in my last years of returning home… all I’ve heard is we need to develop, where is it?” he questioned.
Skelton-Cline said the situation is one where the people of the VI have become accustomed to mediocrity until it becomes the norm.
Swage stench
He also raised issues about an alleged sewage stench in the capital city, “we buy food from food trucks in the stink,”
“We as a people have become comfortable in a bad place,” Skelton-Cline added while paraquoting Minister for Natural Resources, Labour and Immigration, Hon Vincent O. Wheatley (R9).
Mr Skelton-Cline questioned how is it that the people of the VI have reached a place of degradation after the blood, sweat, and tears of their ancestors.
He said the VI ought to be sick and tired of the situation to commit to doing something about it.

But then again, fact that you agreed with him, says it all.
The real possibility of the UK revising laws to include their citizens as voters and employees in the VI is the only saving solution for a better VI going forward . Another is the total demolition by Mother Nature followed by rebuilding with lessons learned.
The BVI never has enough parking in their plans. If you put a big building where those cars are, where they going to go?? AWAY. Last time I tried to park there were no spots. I Think you need more parking, not more buildings.
This man dumb and like to run he mouth.
