Premier joins in bringing cheer to staff & patients @ Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital

The event also saw some 16 patients being given presents, thanks to a fundraising initiative by businesswoman Icis A. Malone.
In true holiday spirit, Premier Wheatley sang hymns, gave remarks and assisted in the presenting of special gifts to patients in the different wards after the service.
‘Grateful for generosity’
“The patients and nurses were all very happy and grateful for the generosity shown towards them,” Sister Libby Hagley, a senior manager at Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital, told our news centre.
Acting Governor David D. Archer Jr; Health Minister Honourable Vincent O. Wheatley (R9); Acting BVIHSA CEO June M. Samuel; and Lemuel L. Smith, representing the Health Services Board, were also present and gave brief remarks.
