Premier & Deputy to update the nation on UK visit Monday
Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) and Deputy Premier, and Minster for Financial Services, Labour and Trade Honourable Lorna G. Smith, OBE (AL) will provide updates on the official meeting with Overseas Territories Minister Stephen J. Doughty (MP) and progress on the Implementation of the Commission of Inquiry (COI) Recommendations.
According to the Government Information Service (GIS), the press conference will be held at the Conference Room of the Premier's Office in Cutlass Tower from 2:00 PM.
Premier Wheatley, before departing for the United Kingdom, said he would be seeking clarity on the review process and timeline for the implementation of reforms coming out of the Commission of Inquiry (CoI) and getting the Constitution Suspension Order lifted.
It has already been disclosed by the government that Minister Doughty will visit the Virgin Islands in early November.
