Praise Adonai staging fundraising concert Saturday ahead of Orlando tour

Group Leader Leona V. Glasgow told Virgin Islands News Online that the group hopes to share the love of God through songs.
“One love, which is the love of God everybody loves to be loved…And we know it's just one God, God and creator of the universe…One gospel is, it’s only one gospel, and that is the gospel of Jesus Christ…that is what we want to share, the gospel of Jesus Christ through songs, because our mantra is, you know, spreading the love of God through song,” she said expounding on the concert’s theme.
Fundraising activity
The concert will also serve another purpose- a fundraising activity for the group.
Glasgow explained proceeds from the concert will assist in the upkeep of the group, instruments, and travelling purposes.
“We want to also do a recording in the next year. And we are also traveling to Orlando this coming July 31st,” she added. Praise Adonai will be a guest artist at the Concert in Orlando, Florida.
Meanwhile, Saturday’s concert will have a few guest artists as well, including Harmoney, Amanda Penn, Omar Benjamin, Dwight A. Hutchinson Jr, and Prophecy N Praise.
Kyle Moses aka Stringman, a member of Praise Adonai, will also minister with a violin instrumental.
Come & receive a blessing- Leona V. Glasgow
The concert, Glasgow added, is for “everybody to come together in one place, just for worship and for praise”.
She went on to encourage persons in the community to support the concert and the group but to also come and be blessed.
Persons, she said, will leave feeling reinvigorated by the messages in the songs.
Treasurer of the group Persia A. Tobin-Issac, “It’s a blend of harmony as well; and the passion with which the voice and the musicians would be presenting too, I think, would all come together to give people that high note of praise experience that we have been talking about."
Mrs Tobin-Issac revealed that the songs chosen by the group for Saturday’s concert were done intentionally in hopes of bringing a “good message” to those in attendance.
“Persons who are going through their challenges as well and shortcomings to keep motivated, to keep pressing on, to keep having faith and to keep trusting that God will work it out...Don't give up. God is still in control. We believe that God continues to hold sway over us, and so we want to bring that message as well,” Mrs Tobin-Issac said.
The evening is expected to be a wonderful and spirit-filled one and Glasgow once again encouraged the public to come and support.
Tickets cost $20.00 per adult and $10 per child under 12 years of age and can be purchased at Josh's Bakery (Central Bakery), Nature's Way (in Pier Park) and the BVI SDA School.
