Port employees share Xmas cheer at RT dock
The treat was not isolated from those who would have arrived at the dock at the same time, nor from the regular passers-by. Even taxi drivers couldn’t resist the sweet melodies and had to take a little time out from their rush hour schedule to enjoy the music.
The activity is an annual feature of the singing group of the BIVPA and according to one onlooker, “no matter how many times they do this they always create that air of Christmas and I enjoy them all the time.”
Some outward bound passengers said that they did not regret the delay of their ferry this morning as they were well entertained by the musical performance. “I don’t care that much for the ferry to come at this time let the music play on and it can come when it is all over and done. They are doing a very good job at this.” said Mr John St Jesus, a resident of St Thomas, USVI.
It was evident that persons were not going to let the music go wasted, while some stood in awe listening on, there were those who just couldn’t resist flexing their muscles with dancing.
For others, capturing the moment on their iPods, cameras or mobile phones would serve as a very nice one to share on social networks, in the privacy of their homes or places of association with special loved ones.
