Police in Paradise video 'is tip of iceberg' of what UK can do to VI- Bishop Cline
Bishop Cline was at the time speaking as a telephone guest on the Morning Braff radio show on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.
“I have never heard us more united around a subject and cause like we are on this thing that seeks to damage our reputation on the international stage,” he said.
“I am saying to us, let us unite around this to protect the heritage of our children and our children’s children, because people think that somehow putting these islands in the hands of the UK going to do us any good, they are gravely mistaken,” he said.
British DNA is to destroy - Bishop Cline
Bishop Cline added that it is in the British DNA to destroy what they cannot control, adding that the Governor must have been aware of the video.
“This is just the tip of the iceberg of what UK could do to us and then leave us for dead and say go independent [after] they destroy our economy, destroy our financial services and destroy our tourism product,” he added.
Meanwhile, Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) said he has spoken with His Excellency the Governor, John J. Rankin, with the Governor agreeing that the video was "inappropriate".
One community activist Rosemary Cindy Rosan has since called for both the Governor and the Police Commissioner to depart the VI, since she believes they both should be held culpable.
Governor Rankin has since promised to have a conversation with the Police Commissioner to address the matter.

Go and question the CoP - the buck stops with him, or with the Governor, or with the officials in the UK.
Remember at that time he and the holder had been manuerving around his wife and his domestic issues, when the same Holder wanted BP vests to cover his whole body.. and how the ended up man handelling the cop.
We are too quick to forget that is why we can't make the connections to understand how long they were planning for us.
With help from some unpatriotic and greed-driven Virgin Islanders, the UK’s goal and aim is to tear down the BVI. They think that the BVI is too good for the BVI people who should still be living in grass huts with dirt roads, horse and donkey transportation, etc. Instead, they are dismayed as to how Black people can be living in modern homes up on the hill. To me, the production and leaked distribution of the video appears to be a deliberatively planned event. Virgin Islanders are fooling themselves if they think that the UK give a rat’s @$$ about them. Caring about local people is inconsistent with colonialism. The UK will used sambos to further their cause. Sambos are treated just like disposable items, i.e., paper towel. It is no secret that the UK is steeped on classism: monarchy, nobility, working class, peasants. Blacks are at the bottom of the class system and any ascendancy demonstrated anywhere vigorous effort is put forth to stifle any ascendancy. That is still an attitude and behaviour in the UK regarding people of African descent. It sees their role as servile.
I am wondering whether you have some deep-rooted loathing towards yourself and to people of colour. This self-hatred is unhealthy.
You're understanding of the UK seems out of step with reality, it is a country which is pretty multi-cultural. Of course there are still enormous steps forward to be made. It is not right to say blacks are at the bottom: that ignominious status is taken up by non-English speaking women originating from South India (Bangladesh, Pakistan).
You are quite correct that people in the UK don't give a damn about the BVI: it is a small place, 4,000 miles away. Most people haven't even heard of it. That's not because they are uncaring, it is just too small to be given much consideration. People in the UK have had their incomes slashed in real terms due to 12 years of austerity government, coupled with Brexit, Covid, inflation running at near 10%. There are food banks in every small town and village, people in good jobs (like nurses, teachers, police) having to resort to "shopping" from them. This is a country in serious economic decline. People in BVI live a life of relative luxury compared to the UK.
Colonialism is billed as a virtuous institution that is paraded as having a civilizing mission. It is vicious institution. It confiscated land, committed genocide, enslaved people, exploited their labour to produce profit for colonial masters, and deprived them of their democratic and human rights. It also created a ladder of humanity, ie, Whites superiority and Blacks inferiority. And if all this was not horrific enough, there is a universal movement afoot to revised, airbrushed and whitewashed history. For example, they want to pretend that either slavery didn’t exist or it was not so bad. As if, if we pretend that horrific atrocities didn’t exist, they didn’t exist. Well, this mangy dog is not going to hunt this guava crop. Every BVI manjack must weigh in to make sure the mangy dog does not hunt.
I don’t know if you are a White Briton, Black Briton, or other. Nevertheless, I like how Whites in the past like to say what is good Blacks without asking Blacks. So you don’t like Sambo. What would you prefer, ie, nigger, coon, BAME, BME, etc. You said, “It is not right to say that blacks are at the bottom: that ignominious is taken up by non-English speaking women originating from South India (Bangladesh, Pakistan).” Interesting. Should I be happy about this?
Who did that is the catalyst and a shortsighted nin come poop.
This continuing babling Sean to make you feel important. Why don't open a bicycle shop to give an unspiritual reason why some your Church members to pretend that you are a bishop? Do you really recognized how pesty, contemtious, and disgusting you really are? Is your conscience at peace? It doesn't seams so.
Tell us what are the things that really troubling you. Stop faking it. Tell us. You only can hide darkness for a time. Light will exposes darkness sooner or later.
To name a few there was the drug bust picture leak to UK media, there was the covid stimulus list leak, the COI report dropping the day after A.F was arrested (practically a leak in comparison to its planned release date)
What do all of these have in common? They're well timed stabs at the international perception of the BVI, a well known 'tax haven'.
Now we have a leak they didnt plan or didnt plan well enough not to land them in hot water. As its said digging graves and felling trees.... leak too much you may leak your own.
On a 'lets pretend its all innocent and professional level police recruiting'... All this would have done is hype up foreign officers to prey on BVI people and perhaps become trigger happy as they're given a warped view of the territory & what their role here will entail.
Recruiting for police should start at home.
when times tuff in road town some of we have to remain in our own backyard however the minister hold his greencard or usa passports and can simply take off…….the minister needs to stop taking so much and let the dust settle
