Police charged 6 in November for various firearm offences

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Six persons were slapped with various charges relating to firearm offences in November, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has disclosed in its Arrest Blotter for November 1-30, 2024.

Keeping a firearm without license

On November 29, 2024, Police arrested and charged Luiz Guerra Bethelmy, 45, of Great Mountain for Keeping a Firearm Without a License and Unlawful Possession of Explosives.

On the same day, Police arrested and charged Dania Livari Castello for Keeping a Firearm Without a License and Unlawful Possession of Explosives.

Carrying a firearm without a license

On November 17, 2024, Police arrested and charged Daniel Maduro, 20, of Long Bush for Carrying a Firearm Without a License and Unlawful Possession of Explosives.

Possession of a prohibited firearm

On November 15, 2024, Police arrested and charged Richard Baronville, 32 of Long Bush for Possession of a Prohibited Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Explosives.

On the same day, Police arrested and charged Kahlim Smith, 24, of Nottingham Estate for Possession of a Prohibited Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Explosives.

Possession of a firearm

Meanwhile, on November 30, 2024, Police arrested and charged Keanus Smart, 18, of Free Bottom for Possession of Firearm with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence and Unlawful Possession of Explosives.

No mention was made of court dates for any of the individuals charged for alleged firearm offences.
