Police charge 3 for wounding, 3 for drug possession in May 2024

Police in the Virgin Islands (VI) have charged 3 for wounding and 3 for drug possession in May 2024, including an arrest on May 18, 2023, where Qwami Todman, 28 of Havers Estate was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Indecent Language. Photo: VINO/File
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Police in the Virgin Islands (VI) have charged 3 for wounding and 3 for drug possession in May 2024, including an arrest on May 18, 2023, where Qwami Todman, 28 of Havers Estate was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Indecent Language.

He was granted bail in the sum of $2,000 to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on June 27, 2024.

This is according to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Arrest Blotter for the period MAY 1 – 31, 2024 where the other arrests are as follows:

Wounding

On 13-05-2024 at 18:05hrs, Police arrested and charged Andraes Norford, 31 of HMP for Wounding with Intent.

On 13-05-2024 at 19:07hrs, Police arrested and charged Essadro Jefferson of HMP for Wounding with Intent.

On 23-05-2024 at 12:58hrs, Police arrested and charged Winford Blyden, 64, of Fishlock Road for Wounding, he was granted bail to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 28-06-2024.

ASSAULT OCCASIONING ACTUAL BODILY HARM

On 31-05-2024 at 12:26hrs, Police arrested and charged Orland Caesar, 47 of Lower Estate for Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 12-07-2024.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On 29-05-2024 at 16:50hrs, Police arrested and charged Olis John, 47 of Chalwell Estate for Criminal Damage.

BURGLARY
On 11-05-2024 at 18:32hrs, Police arrested and charged Kyle Baronville, 34 of Sea Cows Bay for Burglary.

CAUSING GRIEVOUS BODILY HARM

On 03-05-2024 at 17:50hrs, Police arrested and charged Andraulys Sanchez, 24 of East End for Causing Grievous Bodily Harm and Overstaying Landing Permit. 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED DRUG

On 31-05-2024 at 17:50hrs, Police arrested and charged Remigio De Los Santos, 62, for Possession of a Controlled Drug and Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply.

On 31-05-2024 at 17:50hrs, Police arrested and charged Tomas Balbuena Acosta, 55, of Baughers Bay for Possession of a Controlled Drug and Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply.

On 31-05-2024 at 17:50hrs, Police arrested and charged Julio Cabrera Martinez, 40, for Possession of a Controlled Drug and Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply.

    Are these people going to be deported or released to commit more crimes here. Usually repeat Offenders are the same ones who commit crimes.

      Good point re: repeat offenders. We all recognize Kyle Baronville once again for burglery..I only mention this as a repeat offender; I know he is from here.

    That Esadro guy doesn’t want to leave the prison at alllllll…. Is he undercover of something? Cause ain't no way he wants to get out…. We need a death penalty for persons like him… They do not know how to stop committing crime so stop them from having another chance.

    here in the usa where i live as a british virgin islander i can be easily target abducted and murdered with all that is going on in the british virgin islands. to the british virgin islands you are setting up british virgin islanders living in the usa to be murdered in their homes and apartments and on the streets.
