PHOTO of Day: Christmas joy shared at Peebles Hospital

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI: It is a tradition some fifty years old where Members of Peebles Hospital Staff, the Board of Directors of the BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) and the political class meet on each year on Christmas day at the hospital.

Once there, they greet patients at the hospital, give out gifts and spread some holiday cheers in what they have called their annual Christmas Tree Programme.

Today, Tuesday, December 25, 2018, they did it again, singing carols and offering prayers. The event got on the way around 10:15 AM and ended around 12:00 noon.

Political class on hand

On hand included outgoing Premier Dr the Hon D. Orlando Smith (AL) a medical doctor himself, Acting Governor Mr David D. Archer Jr., former Opposition Leader Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1), Minister for Health and Social Development Hon Marlon A. Penn (R8) Chairwomen of the BVIHSA Board Mrs Ayana I. Glasgow-Liburd and Chief Executive Officer of the Authority Dr Ronald E. Georges.
