Pastry Chef James I. Lettsome named Chair of Road Town Festival Village
The announcement was made last evening April 26, 2024, at the official launch of the 70th festival in the Virgin Islands (VI) where the Road Town Village Committee also unveiled more plans for this year’s celebrations.
The Executive team will include Chairman Mr. Lettsome, Co-Chair Ms. Wendy Kelsik and Ms. Dawn Baronville as Treasurers along with Secretary Ms. Trisha Evans and Public Relations Officer, Mr. Stephon Mactavious.
For the 2024 event the Bar Supervisor is Mr. Glenford Hodge, Booth Supervisor - Ms. Thecla Hopkin & Security Supervisor -Mr. Daron Baronville.

Mr Lettsome’s appointment comes as he has been a part of the Virgin Islands Festival and Fairs Committee (VIF&FC) for years as a champion of local food and culture.
Mr Lettsome lived with his grandmother, the late Esther Penn Dawson, where he learnt how to make tarts, cakes, sugar cakes and guava berry liqueur.
As time progressed, he expanded on his knowledge of tart, from pineapple, guava and guava berry to include pina colada, pumpkin, mango, sweet potato, cashew, cherry, jackfruit among others in the VI.
