It is good that a new school is being built, but in the mean time the kids are attending school in dirty classrooms? They are human beings not pigs!

A new school is being built is near complettion; windows in, doors on, building painted...they are nearly to the finish line. What is the sense of protesting? They have dealth with the conditions as is forever and they choose to wait until the government is nearly to the finish line with a new beginning to voice their opinion over something that's been going on forever? What exactly is the solution to this issue other than hold on? Is it wise for the government invest money in a building that is in deplorable condition and is needed for just a few more months?

Isn’t this a fairly new building?
If so surely the contractor should be responsible for fixing the roof.

They are not in the new facility as yet, they are complaining about the old facility.

I must say that if Malone and fahie did not push to make the new JVD school a priority and get the drawings done with the approval of the JVD people with many public meetings then the new school will be another talk with no action. JVD miss those two men especially fahie. He was for the people. He and Malone made this school possible. They switch the land for the clinic to allow where the new school is building to be built. Some of these current issues could be avoided but this Minister of Education is hard to get and find. It seem as if she don't want nobody bother her.

You can’t find her because she is always on a plane traveling to somewhere. If she were to stick around, she might actually get some work done.

Climate change is real. And it's the small islands that will suffer. Do these words sound familiar.? I taught for over 5 years in JVD in the 90"s never had those problems. When the ground sea was up there was a bit of flooding but nothing to close school for. Rudy George ( rest his soul) did an excellent job with maintenance. Sorry to see it has come to this.
