The late Minine Norgrove was the founder of Minine's Plants on Beef Island. Photo: Provided
Minine Norgrove, a longtime resident and Belonger of the [British] Virgin Islands (VI) passed away peacefully on February 15, 2022.

Minine is survived by her son Danny Valls and his wife Angie, her granddaughter Jamie and her husband Sam, her two great-grandchildren Jude and Liam and her longtime caregiver Vanessa Schultz.

Born in St Croix, Minine and her husband moved to the [British] Virgin Islands in 1962 and she always considered Tortola her real home.

For many years she was a large part of the community with her plant business on Beef Island and everyone in town knew her as Miss Minine or the Lady with the plants.

Her smile and fiery energy will be greatly missed by us all.

Many wonderful memories of Minine and Ross cruising the South Pacific. We shared many adventures in the 70’s from Tahiti to New zealand. Thinking good thoughts for a life well lived. Brst wishes to her family
