HODGE'S CREEK, Tortola, VI- Police reportedly seized a quantity of suspected cocaine in a rental vehicle in the Hodge's Creek area of Tortola on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

According to a statement from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) today, January 20, 2021, the bust was made during an early morning operation by members of the RVIPF.

A rental vehicle was reportedly intercepted in the Hodge’s Creek area and the suspected cocaine discovered in it.

"The driver of the vehicle made his escape," the RVIPF stated.

It said a total five bales, weighing in excess of 150 kilos, was recovered in the vehicle and a vessel connected to the drug seizure was also located in the Brandy Wine area and seized by officers.

"A search of another vehicle during the investigations uncovered another four kilos of cannabis. One person has been arrested on suspicion in connection with the drugs found in this vehicle."

Exactly, although people here are the most pias and do not want to actually see that 1+1=2. This Country was BUILT on drugs, and it is essential just like every other job. They moving like Reagan right now so these big bails people have, whether it is IN transit to go to bigger places, or to stay here and enable the functioning addicts (You'd be surprised how much functioning addicts on this little island) they need to sit on it like an egg and let this Hurricane 'War on Drugs' pass

I wouldn’t say that, because criminals exist and that does not mean there is anyone allowing it..

The ship is a good thing. stay on point stop pointing fingers at respectable people saying they must be responsible meanwhile the criminals ask no permission.

Get a brain. The BVI, with a population equivalent to a small market town in the UK, seized more cocaine last year than the whole United Kingdom.

So, in less than 2 months, some 450 kilos (or about 1,000 pounds) in the BVIs. There's probably more that go through. And, you wonder why the UK is paying attention...

None of these actions are possible without some real big players, pay attention to the crime, pay attention to the actions that's taken. look at the big picture, Tortola does not have enough users for what is passing through here, its clearly a safe hub. and the price this stuff cost on the market most people here cannot afford to buy it like that on a regular. Yes Tortola has money but don't say it was all built on Drugs, some people actually work hard, some 7 days a week, blood and sweat. Every country has the good and the bad players. The paint the town all black or all white just yet. Not condoning wrong but can't sit by and say something that's absolutely not proven to be true as yet. I know my dad worked hard as hell in this country. i know people still owing him, and nobody gave him nothing for free.
