ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A very encouraging response is being received from women to the initiative by Mrs Globe BVI Dr Arliene T. Penn to make available free Pap smears to women in the Virgin Islands.

Dr Penn, a Cervical Cancer survivor, had testified that it was a free pap smear offered to her that resulted in her detecting she had cancer some years ago.

During the month of October, Dr Penn held a fundraiser that amassed in excess of $5,000.00 of which she donated over $3,000.00 to the BVI Cancer Society and the balance to the WINBVI Organisation. Each organisation is now using the funds to offset the cost for women across the territory to free Pap smears.

At a press conference on November 17, 2022, the cheques were officially handed over to the two organisations.

Over 100 applicants

While expressing gratitude to Mrs Penn for the initiative, Director of WINBVI Mrs Alicia Green related that more than one hundred women had already applied.

"This is a great initiative of our queen that can help save lives," Mrs Green commented.

President of the BVI Cancer Society Ms Gloria A. Fahie expressed that the society is happy to have made the decision to rebrand and have the society represent all cancers.

She thanked Dr Penn for championing the fight against cervical cancer.

Partnerships

It was explained that Eurika Medical has partnered with Penn and the organisations to ensure women are afforded the opportunity of a free Pap smear.

Eureka will provide free consultations to all women coming through the two organisations and, according to Ms Fahie, should more funds be required so that all registered women get their pap smears free, the BVI Cancer Society will absorb the additional costs.

This is a devil procedure and almost everyone I know that does this test end up with cancer. Why do you need to do a test for something you don't have. Your supposed to know your body. Stop eating the government food and you can live long. This is not good pushing your finger all the way up a lady absolutely a no for me. Doctors molest women and they don't even know it. You get naked for a doctor but won't a regular strange but the doctor is also a stranger. You've been tricked to how the elites run this Devil Earth. Doctors can put you to sleep and wake you up so they are playing God and you all don't see anything wrong with this. Stay sleep

You sound like a bush person to me. You know what, I am not going to waste my energy trying to explain certain things to you. I will continue to relax in my king size bed and continue to watch The Great British Baking Show seasons that I miss.

This entire statement is pure ignorance. Please educate yourself before spewing your ignorance for the world to laugh at you. See below for a Pap Smear 101:

Why is Pap smear so important?
A Pap smear involves collecting cells from your cervix — the lower, narrow end of your uterus that's at the top of your vagina. Detecting cervical cancer early with a Pap smear gives you a greater chance at a cure. A Pap smear can also detect changes in your cervical cells that suggest cancer may develop in the future.

Here’s what I think, perhaps when you were born you slipped out of the midwife hands and bang your head on the floor or when common sense was going around it completely forgot about you.

I am a woman that's why I can say what I said. I am in my forties and as a virgin teenager a doctor finger me without me knowing at first this is what was going on is absolutely wrong. They push their hands way up its hurts so bad so sh** the hell up. I rather live in an bush then be in this Devil world. All doctors do devil work no one should have the power of a person in their hands. No one should have the Power to put someone to sleep to cut them open to switch their appearance. You are so brainwashed it's no hope for you.

Any kind of test that will detect cancer should be taken, both male and females should have regular checks up with their doctors. As a survivor of three types of cancers over a 20-year period I am living proof that early detection can save lives.

You all need to wake up, I am wide away and that's why the Almighty God made me see the name and the number in the mRNA RNA COVID 19 vaccine. I bet you still think the world is run by good people. Go look at the serpent on the medicial logo LoL you think that came from the Almighty God. Lack of knowledge will lead you to destruction. The Luciferase dye that glows in your veins and pattern number of the vaccine 060606 for 666 is the number so go look that vaccine ingredients up and then you will have knowledge otherwise what till next year because your body will do all your transactions no money or cards n ed just you. Wisdom, understand, and knowledge is the key your comments shows you are of this earthly World which I am not. I don't live in the bush but you will wish you did in time. Agenda 2030 you will own nothing given to you by the Prince. Go see who is in charge of the great reset

I admire Dr. Penn's work and wish her continued good health. I am concerned however that the Government's communication strategy or lack thereof needs to be addressed. How is Dr. Penn as Director of Communication for the GoVI driving change in terms of how the Government communicates? She is very busy doing non-Governmental work but we are not hearing and seeing as much as it relates to her job as Director of Communication.

@ Really. You know I’m tempted to go in depth and answer from a medical prospective, but will not waste my time. I’ll just say this.
    Proverbs 17:
12 It is safer to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than to confront a fool caught in foolishness.
16 It is senseless to pay to educate a fool, since he has no heart for learning
28 Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.
