ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition will be seeking to engage the public on several issues at a 3-hour live radio event on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

According to a flyer shared with our News Centre, the event will be broadcast on ZBVI 780 AM, Tola Radio VI, CBN Radio 90.9 FM and the Infinity Productions’ Facebook page from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Topics to be discussed, according to the flyer, include Vote of No Confidence, True State of the Virgin Islands and Use of Public Funds.

‘Let your voice be heard’- Opposition

“Don't miss this opportunity to connect with your representatives and join the conversations that matter to you. It's your time to speak and be heard! Let your voice be heard. Tune in, log on, and call in with your thoughts and questions,” the flyer informed.

Ever since Deputy Premier Lorna G. Smith, OBE (AL) crossed the floor to help form the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) government, following the elections of April 2023, the Opposition has promised votes of no confidence.

It continues to criticise the premier for supporting musical concerts for entertainment tourism. Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) has said concerts help to add to the territory’s tourism product.

I want to hear Mr Buddhist thoughts on this independence chatter.

This will tell me if you just in there talking good for points and actually on the same greedy political teams

Or if you're actually for the country becoming better transparent and more accountable.

Independence should be far from these politicians mind's especially after what was revealed in the coi.

remember those faces under a previous administration

8 continuous years and lots was left undone for the territory:

UK wanted to help after the hurricane but were sent packing by some of those same faces

1 of the fellows even visited the law enforcement agency because the school infrastructure had a few problems

various airlines now arriving at Beef Island but no sight of the million spent for our aeroplane

8 million approved for the east side sewage system under some members of the group

how now that group have issues with those who beat them because they were not able to form the government after that election

can they convince 2 members to cross the floor but might not work because 3 of them desire to be the Premier of BVI(in that same group

They could not form a Government with Lorna. She indicated that none of them could lead her. She rather be led by Natalio.

She rather be led by Naralio than Ronnie is the problem. She did not mind the ones on the NDP team. She was right. Ronnie should gave humbled himself. He is not fit to be Premier.

We need the action man back in political arena only he understands our feelings. Present Honorable minister seems like he can't get it together. Misson get on the ground dirty your hands roll up your pants foot, put on some boots and get this territory fix. Hodges Creek road is in a terrible state. Put them man to work at night also. You signing contract and people not delivering only causing more pain. Hold them accountable. Or the people will certainly show up in the HOA to uphold this no confidence you all playing the fool.
