O’Neal’s Gas Station under new management from today Nov. 1

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- One of Road Town’s landmarks, the Sol Gas Station popularly known as the O’Neal’s Gas station, will be run under new management effective today November 1, 2012.

The service station, which is located in the vicinity of the round-about in Road Town, has been in the family of Former Premier and Leader of the Opposition Ralph T. O’Neal, OBE for many years.

The name of the new management company has not been disclosed, however, Mrs Edris O’Neal, OBE- the wife of Hon. O’Neal- told Virgin Islands News Online that the gas station has not been sold and confirmed that it will now be under new management.

Employees of the gas station have been careful not to disclose the name of the new management. This news site was also told that the point person is overseas and also did not wish to immediately offer any comment to news media.

The service station, which is a component of the Ralph O’Neal Group of Companies, will also continue to be run under the Sol brand.

‘O’Neal’s Gas Station’ is one of approximately 12 gas stations on Tortola.

    This business transition truly affect the smoothe runing of my company ,as my service vehicles could not have gotten gas there today. We could not have gone to our customer in west end or east end. Transition suppose to be so smoothe that customer should not have notice anything. Btw why on earth this business transition make news anyway. Need more investigative journalism in the bvi.
