One charged in connection with drug find @ Brandywine Bay

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI–One man has been charged with possession of drugs uncovered during a vehicle search on Tuesday morning, January 19, 2021, in the Brandywine Bay area.

According to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), Kareem Douglas of Georges Northside is scheduled to go before the Magistrate’s Court today, January 21, 2021, charged will possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

“In the early morning operation, a search of a vehicle in the Brandywine Bay area uncovered some 2,000 grams of cannabis. After being weighed, it was found to be less than formally reported,” the RVIPF stated in its press release.

It said the investigation remains active and therefore no other information can be released at this time.
