Nobody really knows the general policy direction of the VI – Skelton-Cline
Mr Skelton Cline was at the time debating Dr Kedrick D. Pickering on the Tuesday, June 4, 2024, edition of the show as to whether there is a perception that it is too difficult to do business in the VI and what role the civil service plays in this.
“Nobody really knows what this change, that general policy direction of the country and might I add, it isn’t just now,” Skelton-Cline said in reference to what he termed as the the declining level of components in the business industry.
“And so we have to find a way to more clearly, lucidly, nationally determine what exactly is the policy direction of the country, or at least the vision of the country, because each government of the day does have some responsibility to shape or revise and certainly to put the policies in place that facilitates that national agenda”
He added that the VI’s woes are both a structural and a human resource issue, however, there is a "dumbing down" in the public service.
Mediocracy in VI
Meanwhile, Dr Pickering said, in the context of the topic, mediocracy seems to have crept into the VI where it has become the standard.
“How can we inspire our people, to recognise and feel that this country belongs to us and that every person matters and, especially if you have a job to do, to do it to the best of your ability?” he questioned.
“We’ve done some great things in this country…, our financial services rose to international prominence, our sailing industry rose to international prominence…. Have we lost our way that we are so mediocre now that businesses suffer?"
Dr Pickering further questioned whether the civil servants are responsible or is it a divine force beating the VI down, to which Skelton-Cline said it remains a number of issues.

Not sure who you refer to as the ones already saved. But consider;
The book of Mathew:
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshiped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
Question is: Which group or people were/are the house of Israel and why did/do they need saving?
Talk on the street is you run from USA because of issues to only come here and fall into the same or similar problems.
For someone who preach Jesus you sure don't learn from your mistakes. Then again you speak more on worldly things than those of the bible.
That in the bible is called a wolf in sheep clothing
Yes yes, listen to this cro**. He knows the way....to prison
