NDP voters: Walwyn top performing Minister, Pickering lowest- Poll
Mr Wickham, speaking again to our newsroom moments ago, declined to reveal his client in the Territory that ordered and paid for the poll.
However, in the final poll, it shows on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest, National Democratic Party voters rated Hon Myron V. Walwyn (AL), the Education and Culture Minister, with a 7.7 on Ministerial performance and gave the lowest rating to Deputy Premier and Minister for Natural Resources and Labour Dr The Honourable Kedrick D. Pickering (R7), who had 6.3.
Poll disclaimer
The pollster warned not to read into this too much and noted that throughout the region Ministers with Agriculture portfolios often rate low and those with education rate high because education is always one of the better performing sectors in the Caribbean over Agriculture.
In the same poll, NDP voters gave Premier and Minister of Finance Dr The Honourable D Orlando Smith (AL) 7.0 and Hon Ronnie W. Skelton (AL), the Health and Social Development Minister, a 6.3.
On the other hand, Virgin Islands Party (VIP) voters gave all ministers a failing grade, with 4.7 going to Walwyn and 3.8 going to Pickering. Independent voters also gave the Ministers a failing grade.
VIP & independent voters give failing grade on post Hurricanes performance
On the question of Government performance on the post hurricanes recovery, only NDP supporters gave the current government a pass with 6.0 out of 10 whereas independent and VIP voters gave them a failing grade. VIP voters gave them a 3.4 and independents gave them a 4.6 rating.
Mr Wickham, through his CADRES, released two previous polls within the past days. The first one shows that voters believe the country is moving in the wrong direction and the second show a dead heat for preferred leadership between Dr Smith and Opposition Leader Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1).
CADRES said it polled 700 participants from the VI.

Well you got to be a real sk***! The country needs the money! There are people who still have not fix their house because they have no money ! The government and use some of that money to either give soft loans and or also help fix some people homes! Take y’all head out y’all *$$ because our people need help! It had people who help built this country who needs help ! And don’t worry about me I didn’t vote for none, but I know that these Islands need help
Why ? Grow up and stop your welfare mentality.
Skelton-Cline wants rich to give to the hospital. I do not believe in that, but if so why does he not ask his fellow Ministaers?? Why does he not ask members of the Millionairs Club he knows who they are and can ask direct ,not in a general pleae which always gets funds from folks too poor to give.
Premier Smith wants to restore trust!!! HaHaHa ha Everyone knows it takes twice as long to be trusted than it does to lose trust and for over 7 years you have been losing it. No one will believe you.
