NANNY CAY, Tortola, VI- The 52nd BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival continues today in Nanny Cay.

Several vessels are in the VI for the festival including nearby from the Dominican Republic and Antigua; to sailors from Canada, the United States and even Europe.

The festival which began on March 31, 2025, will conclude tomorrow, Sunday, March 6, 2025, with the final race day and awards ceremony.

General Manager of Nanny Cay, Miles Sutherland Pilch said in a post on the BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival’s website, “It’s fantastic to see this place come alive with the Regatta every year.”

Dr Robin Tattersall still winning

Dr Robin E. Tattersall continued to make history at the annual event with the Bareboat win in the Round Tortola Race for the Nanny Cup (CSA Division) on April 1, 2025.

Mr Tattersall, 94, in a social media post on the festival’s Facebook Page, said he was not sure he would have been able to make it as he has structural problems.

“Racing was fine, there was quite a lot of breeze, my knowledge of the track, the tides and winds helped the crew…I’ve always loved this race,” he said.
