NANNY CAY, Tortola, BVI - Keeping true to their word, Nanny Cay Resort, and Marina have donated funds raised from its staff party held on December 7, 2023, to Ms Kishma P. Forbes and Mr. Julian Willock to help support their food pantry and their back-to-school giveaway for students in District Three.

Both residents have been on a constant quest to give back to District Three through several much-needed activities. Nanny Cay raised the funds by selling raffle tickets leading up to their big staff block party which was another huge success.

Mr. Willock at the same party thanked Nanny Cay for their continued support and singled out the General Manager, Mr. Miles Sutherland Pilch for working closely with him and Ms. Forbes to ensure that the plans to help the less fortunate in District Three become a reality.

Ms. Forbes confirmed that the funds will be going directly back into the community for the District Three Food Pantry along with the annual back-to-school giveaways next year.

Over the past months, the two community-minded residents have hosted a Job Fair in collaboration with Nanny Cay Resort and Marina where persons were hired on the spot, they have donated over one thousand dollars ($1000.00) worth of items to the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School with the help of Scrub Island Resort and the duo also kept a back to school giveaway for over 130 students from District Three.

Mr Willock noted that next year “we will be even more active, as we are bringing a festival troop from District Three as the Territory celebrates the 70th anniversary  of its emancipation,”

He added that in the future, there “will be some new activities for seniors within District Three in collaboration with Doctors and some businesses.”

The amount given by Nanny Cay Hotel and Marina from their 2023 Block Party Raffle was over one thousand dollars ($1000.00) and the funds were handed over on Monday 11, December 2023 by the resort's Events Planner, Ms. Dion A. Thomas.
