Mrs BVI organisation receives $15K from Premier’s Office ahead of Mrs Globe

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) committed $15,000 to assist the Mrs BVI Organization as they prepare to send off three women to represent the Territory on the global stage.

Junior Minister for Tourism Honourable Luce D. Hodge-Smith (R4) presented the cheque on Friday, January 3, 2025, at a simple handover ceremony held at the Premier's Office.

"We are very pleased to present this cheque of fifteen thousand dollars to the organizers of Mrs BVI pageant and we wish the candidates every success as they gracefully and beautifully represent us in the Mrs Globe pageant when it takes place,” said Hon Hodge-Smith.

Fantastic show lined up

The organization's director Mrs Alicia Green in accepting the cheque along with Mrs Pauline Robinson revealed that three women will be introduced to the public come January 11 at a planned Dinner Show fundraiser to be held at Maria's By The Sea.

The Ambassadors/Queens being presented are the 2025 Mrs BVI, Mrs Classique and Mrs Curve.

"We have a fantastic show lined up including the candidates who will also be performing." Mrs Green said in encouraging support for the candidates.

    The US, a former colony of the UK, was formed on a great but flawed ideal . Nevertheless, the “WE” didn’t apply to African Slaves who were not seen as equals and not even human. The legacy of the US’ original and greatest sin still plagues it. It has not fully come to term that those they consider others are not going away and are part of the American fabric. The first Immigration Act of 1790 declared the US a white country. The Emergency Quota Act of 1921 place extreme quotas on immigration, especially from non- white countries. It is about to happen again. Shakespeare says what is past is prologued. Blacks cleared land worked the expropriated land, built the US’ economy, profits from their free labour funded other industries, ie, transportation, trkecommiciond, insurance, housing, finance,etc. Their labour built the iconic White House and Capital Building, etc ., yet they are unwanted guests or occupants in those buildings. The Neville Chamberllsin (appeasers), the Benedict Arnolds( traitors), Sambos, and those afflicted with the Stockholm Syndrone are fine , happy and giddy about and with things.
