The Government playing around with these careless riders. They up and down all day causing mischief and in the night committing heinous crimes. They take off the noise of the scooters in the night and go through the place like the devil committing crimes. This government need to rise up and take charge of this place or else the UK will. Pass a law for them to wear helmets. Pass a law for underage boys to be home at a certain time and if they are not, charge the parents.

WAKE UP VIP GOVERNMENT!! OUR COUNTRY IS AT STAKE!

There are Motocycle helmet laws in the UK, but do we have similar laws here? We need to hear from our legislators on this matter.

If there are such laws, then we need the governor to fire that CoP at once.

You can buy both a helmet and lock for under $100 from Amazon. I'm sure the government can give a full or partial refund to youth who cannot afford $100. If the youth still will not wear them, then we can say we tried.

The law is in place but the riders must love themselves more than the law loves them. It is the cost of disobedience and feeling so elite that they do not need to protect themselves. They prefer to suffer the consequences and then blame the law. I wish no ill for no one, but there is a price to pay when we do not take heed. Also to ride responsibly to save their own lives and to keep drivers out of trouble.

My comment is not about this particular case because I do not know what happened, I am talking about the majority of what I see for myself.

I hope the rider recovers speedily

If you could afford to purchase a bike, you can afford to purchase a helmet too

Can't afford lol. Let me make this clear there isn't a new scooter on this island below $2000 other than some cheap models that need to sell fast and still there's the second hand one possible in good condition that are still over a thousand dollars. If those young men can find that money or there family whoever buying those bikes they can afford a helmet. On top of that majority ain't licensed why cause there not even insured. So facts are the government is not to blame. It's the owner or who ever spend there money to get those bikes. Simple

It’s a wonder more scooter riders don’t get in more accidents, the way they ride shows they have no regard for their life or any other person using the roads. I blame law enforcement for lawless scooter riders, the laws are there enforce them. A few years ago the police brought two 650 motor cycles they said they needed them to go after the scooter riders that didn’t last too long. No matter their last name no matter who they are if they break the law deal with them, it shows the rest of the world that we are a lawless contury.I have seen scooter riders break the law in front of the police and the police dose nothing. TIME TO CRACK DOWN ON THESE LAW BRAKERS

Helmets dont save lives, common sence does. This was proven in the USA which is why they did away with helmet laws.
