Mother & son win Carrot Bay 10K

CARROT BAY, Tortola, VI- Race 3 in the BVI Runners 10k fun run series was won by Jermaine A. Ricketts and his mother, Rosmond Johnson.

The Carrot Bay 10k, which started and ended at the Carrot Bay Festival Grounds, was held on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Ricketts clocked a time of 50:25.5 to win the men’s race while Johnson completed the tough course in 58:15 to win the race for females.

Johnson was also fourth overall.

Marathoner Sergio Dantas was second for males in 53:47.7, while Craig Tolluch came third in 57:26.

Sarah Latham (1:03.28) and Julianne Potgeiter (1:05.09) were second and third respectively for females.

24 runners and walkers took to the start line.
