More done now for 3rd District than under NDP Gov’t – Hon Fraser admits
“I can say this, that for the last two years I was able to deliver to my people what I couldn't deliver for the last 8 prior,” he said.
Hon Fraser was at the time speaking at the Second Sitting of the Third Session of the Fourth House of Assembly (HoA) on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.
“And it's not because I wasn't trying, but maybe because there were forces that were designed to insist, to ensure, that things didn't happen,” he said.
Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) reached out to Honourable Fraser for a list achievement in the District under the Fahie administration; however, the veteran legislator said he was not in a position at the time to provide the information but promised to do so at a later date.
Premier Fahie has often emphasised that he would never victimise districts because their representatives are not on his side. According to him, his First District suffered long when he was in the Opposition and he promised himself that it was something he would never do if he ever became Premier.
Gossip in 3rd District
At yesterday's HoA sitting, Hon Fraser also revealed that he is hearing rumours about persons looking to destroy the relationship between him and the Third Electoral District.
“I’m hearing a sue-sue about who wants to make this relationship between myself and my constituents end… but let's enjoy the holidays, let's enjoy the season and we'll hear more about that,” Honourable Fraser stated.
“I'll keep my ears to the ground, it depends on what I pick up over the holidays... people speak more when they got a little oil under their arm and if anything drops by the speed bump I’ll let you know,” he said.
