Miss World BVI Sasha O. E. Wintz lashing back @ harsh critics
Several persons close to Ms Wintz had previously brought it to the attention of this news site their disgust at comments posted about her, however, efforts by Virgin Islands News Online to secure an interview from the queen proved futile as her representatives said they did not feel it would have made a difference to the negative blogging.
Apparently it became too much for the queen to bear, however, as she took to her Facebook page last night to ‘humbly’ respond to her critics.
"I just think that this should be addressed and certainly not in a rude manner. But ever since I won Miss World BVI I've received a lot of negativity! Saying that everything is being staged and everything is not true or I'm doing this just because of publicity! Well I'm now telling you for those who may think so, it's NOT."
Ms Wintz told her critics that she has always been a kind, humble, loving, respectable, hardworking young lady and everything that she does is from the kindness of her heart.
"I've said to myself I wouldn't say anything and just ignore, but sometimes you have to stand up for yourself," she added.
Ms Wintz said she believes that people don't appreciate the things that are done for them and whatever someone does it's never good enough and they are never pleased with it. "So I'm not going to sit here and continue to be bashed on! I was raised to do and be the best that I can be! I don't have to be the smartest or the most talented person but I know in my heart that I can make a difference and also inspire and motivate someone!"
“With that being said I will continue to make all my family and friends PROUD of what I'm doing so far in my journey."
Encouragement
One of her Facebook contacts, Virtuous Freeman, had these words for Ms Wintz: "I read your post and I just wanted to encourage you. Please don't ever second guess your worth on the account of someone's opinion of you. You are smart, talented, courageous and beautiful. God has appointed you for such a time as this to be a blessing to others and so that you may be elevated in the process. Stay focused and remember if God be for you who can be against you. SHALOM."
Former Miss World BVI Kirtis K. Malone offers encouragement
It should be noted that Ms Wintz is not the only queen that has had to endure harsh words from online bloggers as none are spared the wrath of critics online.
Asked what strategy she used to deal with her critics, former Miss World BVI Kertis Kassandra Malone said: "My method of dealing with criticism is usually placing a blind eye on the negative and the next on the positive to keep a balance! I believe it is easier to stand on the sideline and comment, but the reality is, a spectator doesn't usually understand the real challenges of being in the ring."
Ms Malone said she believes Sasha is going to do her best as Miss World BVI to make all in the Virgin Islands proud.

walked into a business full of people, didn't say good morning or acknowledge anybody, head was buried in cell, no manners or class, just a put on,
She wants to represent the BVI which is all of us who live and work here. So while hugs and kisses aren't necessary but I would like a good queen rather than an evil one. It's her responsibility to project herself how she wants to be known -- after all she is "Miss World BVI"
