Miss RVIPF Jeoverne S. Webb crowned Regional Police Queen
Webb, who is the reigning Miss Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, swept awards for Most Poised, Photogenic, Best Introduction Speech, and Drill.
The First Runner-Up spot went to the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force contestant, Kemelia J. Boyd who received awards for best in Creative Wear, Evening Wear, Congeniality, and Talent.
Second runner up was taken by the Royal St Lucia Police Force contestant, Zamera Dean Frederick.
Other awards went to the contestant from the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, Renika Isaac, who received the Commissioner’s award, and Trinidad and Tobago Police Service contender, Sascha W. Goodard who swept awards for Miss Intellect and Best Introduction Dance.
In addition, each received participatory gifts.
Hard work
Speaking to the media moments after being crowned by Commissioner of Police Michael Matthews, Webb said she expected success.
“To be honest, I put in a lot of work and hard work is what brings success, so I expected success,” she said.
Meantime first runner-up Boyd also spoke of hard work.
“It’s great, it’s awesome, it was very hard work! Leaving all the way from St Vincent and the Grenadines, I am honoured for the First Runner Up.”
The five competed for over four hours in Introduction, Drills, Creative Wear, Talent, Evening Wear and Question and Answer segments.
Entertainment was provided by Harmony and Reuben Fernandez.
The pageant was part of the 50th-anniversary celebration of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force.
